- Sonnet: Free Will

We're allowed to climb,
And allowed to tumble down.
Allowed to sell our time,
Allowed to sink into - and drown.
We're allowed to rise high,
And get high,
Cheat ourselves and lie.
Allowed to not live, yet die.
Allowed to pretend with our faces,
And paint with only our eyes.
Allowed to piss on a billion brilliant places,
And run away on the predictable tides.
You're allowed to sex, starve, and steal -
Just to feel the way you better feel.
